Arrived home in Idaho late Monday night. It's back to reality again and work, work, work on my Spring cleanup. I did have an incredible time at the S.I. Dance Rally in Bandera, Texas and miss all my friends, old and new that I met there. You all are welcome anytime to stop over at my place if you're ever in southern Idaho. I've got plenty of room, water and power hookups and free dump in town. But, be careful, don't stay too long or I'll put you to work.

GIDDY UP!

On the last Sunday of the dance rally, a group of us decided to take to the Texas "hill country" and check out the scenery on horseback. We all had a great time, despite our sore bottoms.

5th Avenue Dress Up Night

Ronnie Furr was a one-man band and played for our entertainment and dancing almost every night.
Everyone was dressed in their finest duds. Trish and Ron show off above.

Pajama Party

I think this is the most comfortable I've been dancing all week.
Are we crazy, or what?
I'm not sure who's idea this was......but Saturday night we had a Pajama Party.

Diana looked so cute!

Wednesday night we all went down to the "burn your own" at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar where you bring your own steaks and cook them on the barbeque and they provide the salad and baked potatoes. After which we danced the night away until after 10 pm or so
This is where we "burned" (literally) our steaks
Yep, gals.......they were right........all the REALLY CUTE cowboys are in TEXAS!!!
We all had too much fun. Is that really possible?

Interesting decor for a cowboy bar. There's a story behind it, but I'll have to fill you in later
Perfect weather for an outdoor dance hall.
Are you sure we are in Texas??
Nope, it must be Mexico since this hombre is enjoying a siesta
Tuesday night was "Mexican Fiesta" night and here is Senor Sam and Senorita Connie
Senorita Diana and Senor Phil

Can anyone guess who this Senorita is???
We are assigned to teams and everyday a designated team cooks the group of approximately 170 a great hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, ham or bacon and even including "grits"
After breakfast are the beginner dance lessons with the intermediate being taught after lunch
Every day I take a walk down to the river
There are many deer, white tail and axis roaming the campground

The beauty of this place never ceases to amaze me.

After two long plane rides, I went from a blustery 35 degrees in Boise, Idaho to around 88 humid degrees in San Antonio, Texas. The Singles International Dance Rally is being held here at this beautiful private RV Park in Bandera, Texas. Also known as the "Cowboy Capitol of the World.
